Supervision Services

Approach
I am a proud and vocal advocate for the social work profession and believe firmly in the need for quality supervision for all clinicians grounded in vulnerability, humor, and grace. I provide non-judgmental, authentic, and collaborative support to those either new to the field or wanting continued guidance after gaining full licensure. I do not claim to have all the answers, but I will help you find solutions to the inevitable ethical and clinical quandaries that arise, allowing you to provide the best possible care to your clients. I will also encourage you to take good care of yourself and will discuss how to set healthy and appropriate boundaries to ensure a more positive quality of life. As we know, “you can’t pour from an empty cup.”
Experience
I am trained in and frequently utilize techniques from: ACT, CBT, DBT, EMDR, MI, and others. The bulk of my social work and clinical experience has been with children and adolescents in an outpatient setting, though I have worked with people ages 18 months – 70 years in various settings, including: residential wilderness therapy, community-based therapy, therapeutic foster care, integrated healthcare, and outpatient mental health treatment centers. In my private practice, I provide therapy services to young people with concerns related, but not limited, to: depression, anxiety/worry, anger – “strong emotions;” adjustments and life transitions; resolving trauma; relationship struggles and other school/work/home difficulties; processing grief and loss; and self-esteem issues. I am passionate about helping myself and others develop increased and improved ways to connect, both inward and outward, and integrate nature into my own life as well as treatment with others as often as I can.

Commitment To The Field
I am a member of NASW and have completed their Clinical Supervision Training in order to provide you with the most informed and supportive supervision I can. I also volunteer as a member of the Equity and Inclusion Committee for our state chapter, which aims to identify and eliminate the harm perpetrated by our field at present and throughout history, collaborate state-wide to promote positive and equitable experiences for all social workers and clients, and ensure all social workers in the state are acting in ways consistent with our full Code of Ethics. I am passionate about advancing social justice causes for my clients, community, state, nation, and world – and I “walk my talk” by volunteering my time and resources and by advocating at the state and national levels to help accomplish this.
